August 15-24th, 2019, exactly 400 years after the beginning of the Middle Passage, to exhibit the  power of the Creator, our ancestors and the Black community, African Genesis Institute is making a triumphant return to Africa-our ancestral homeland by leading a delegation of 100 people, to Ghana, West Africa. This historic 10 day pilgrimage will represent the first time in recorded history where an enslaved people have freed themselves from slavery and returned to the land of their ancestors.

This overnight plane trip to Detroit and Canada follows the path of the Underground Railroad taken by our foreparents in their quest for freedom. In Detroit, you will visit First Congregational Church, Charles Wright African History Museum and the Motown Museum. In Canada, you will visit Uncle Tom’s cabin and one other settlement established by our forefathers who ran off the plantation. You will have an opportunity to meet and speak with the African-Canadians who are the direct descendants of those who made it to the “promised land.” It is a truly a fantastic journey.

Washington / Richmond field trip

This is an overnight bus trip. In Washington, DC, you will take the “Egypt on the Potomac Field Trip” conducted by Anthony ‘Tony’ Browder and his staff. You will learn how Washington, DC, the capital of the United States, was conceived and built using ancient African concepts, symbols and spirituality. In Richmond, you will travel along the “Slave Trail” with The Elegba Folklore Society as your guide where you will experience what our foreparents endured as they walked from the prisoner of war (slave) ships to the auction block. You will receive round trip bus transportation, hotel accommodations, 4 meals, guided tours and entry into the tour sites.

New York field trip

This is a day trip by bus to Harlem where you will embark on a study tour of the African experience in New York City. Featuring stops at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture and a walking tour of Harlem, this tour will give you an in-depth understanding of the integral role Africans played in establishing New York as the crown jewel of the American empire. In fact, you may even be paid a visit from our ancestors along the way.

Baltimore field trip

This is a day trip by bus to Baltimore, Maryland. where you will take the “Black Baltimore Tour”.
