Dr. Edward Robinson

The late Dr. Edward W. Robinson, Jr.  served as our first National elder from 1993-2012. He was an attorney, author, historian, curriculum specialist, film maker, past president of Provident Life Insurance Company and the first African American member of the Federal Reserve Bank. He authored the African Genesis curriculum utilized by the thousands of members of the African Genesis program. Dr. Robinson dedicated his life toward one goal: to effect a positive change of attitude toward the ancestral value of people of African descent by the total world society through dramatically exposing the beauty, grandeur and sophistication of ancient Egypt and the Songhai Empire.

Nana Kwa David Whitaker

Nana Kra Kwamina II (Dr. Kwa David Whitaker, Esq.) is a career educator, cultural advocate and African Chief.  He holds doctoral degrees in Educational Psychology and Law. He is the National Elder for African Genesis and has served as Tufohen (Legal Advisor) for Nana  Kodwo Eduakwa V, Chief of Atonkwa, Elmina Ghana since 2004. Nana has facilitated Akan ‘ rites of passage’ programming – since 1994 and 2008 respectively – for Kent State and West Virginia Universities. In 2004 Nana founded two Akan-based Charter schools – now in their 14th year – in Cleveland Ohio. He has published two books: Rites of Passage: A Journey of Transformation and Why I Became and African Chief.  Nana can be reached at Ashe1ltd@gmail.com.

Jabari Osaze

Jabari Osaze (DjedenMa’at Aten-Ra) has studied Ancient Egypt for over 20 years, focusing primarily on the areas of philosophy, esoteric symbols and sacred science. Brother Osaze has led study groups in Egypt since 2002 and tours of the world-renowned Egyptian collections of New York’s Brooklyn Museum and Metropolitan Museum of Art.

While completing his Bachelor of Science degree at Cornell University, Brother Osaze’s studies led him to the monumental works of Ra Un Nefer Amen and R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz. He began focusing on the practice of the Ancient Egyptian (Kemetic) ideal. In 1998, he was initiated into a Kemetic order, the Shrine of Ptah, by Chief Priest Heru Ankh Ra Semahj Se Ptah. Brother Osaze has continued his study with the Shrine of Ptah.

In 2005, he was initiated into the order of Sacred Kingmen of the Shrine of Ptah. He received the coronation name Heru DjedenMa’at Aten Ra. He is currently completing his course of study in order to become a Kemetic Priest. Mr. Osaze is a doctoral candidate at the University of Metaphysical Sciences. He and his wife Anika Daniels- Osaze have co-founded the Center for the Restoration of Ma’at; an institution devoted to the application of the Ancient African ethical paradigm in our daily lives. He lectures on a wide variety of historical and motivational topics. He lives in Harlem.

Dr. Anika Daniels Osaze

Dr. Anika Daniels-Osaze has studied Ancient Egypt for over 25 years, focusing on language, spirituality, ancient medicine, the concept of balance and feminine energy.  Sister Anika has served as an instructor and facilitator for the African Genesis Institute since 2004 after participating as a group leader from 2000-2002. She earned her bachelor’s from Cornell University in Linguistics and Cognitive Studies,  her master’s from New York University in Higher Education Administration and her Doctorate of Education from Northeastern University.  She is the Director of Diversity Education and Research at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.  She and her husband live in Harlem, NY.

Dr. Chike Akua

Dr. Chike Akua is one of the most sought-after speakers at colleges, universities, educational conferences and urban schools nationally.  Ebony magazine named him one of its “50 Leaders of Tomorrow,” a distinction he is living up to today.  He has transformed the lives of tens of thousands of people through his riveting and revealing presentations and books.
His latest release, “Honoring Our Ancestral Obligations: 7 Steps to Black Student Success” is fast becoming a favorite on high school and college campuses nationally.

Dr. Akua has written 10 books, produced a series of 10 African Origins historical DVDs, and 30 Black History Posters and 36 African Proverb Posters.  In addition, he has assisted in leading over 1000 people to Africa on study tours to Egypt, Ghana, Senegal and Morocco.
Dr. Akua earned his Bachelors degree in Education from Hampton University, his Masters degree in Education and School Counseling from Clark Atlanta University and  his doctorate from Georgia State University.  He resides just outside of Atlanta with his wife of 23 years and their two sons.
